Wunvshan City, founded by the people led by Meng Zhu, is surrounded by mountains and rivers, so it is easy to protect and difficult to attack. To remember this splendid history and culture, and commemorate Meng Zhu, Wunvshan Tourism Development Group Company set up the statue of Meng Zhu in 2020. On the 1.8-meter-high imitation stone pedestal, there is a bronze statue of Meng Zhu riding pony and carrying bow and arrow. The total height of the man and horse is 2.5 meters. The appearance of the pony and Meng Zhu has been demonstrated by provincial archaeologists for many times. The front of the pedestal is engraved with the time when Meng Zhu founded Koguryo Kingdom and its capital city. Looking at the bronze statue with reverence, one will sincerely sigh that Meng Zhu's great vision and broad mind, he pioneered a glorious history of Koguryo for 705 years, and was honored as "Eastern Wise Holy King" by history books.
