This is the east gate of this mountain city, the first of the three gates, with a width of 4.3 meters. The two wings of the city wall are like folded ruler, and the invading enemy would be attacked by both sides here, so it is easy to defend but difficult to attack. On the right, there is a straight wall in transverse direction connected with the cliff on the southern slope. The artificial wall is 118m long, 4-6m wide at the bottom and 3-4m wide at the top. The artificial wall on the left side is curved, connected with the natural cliff of every section, and stretches for more than 390 meters. The wall is extremely solid, and the residual wall has remained intact for more than 2,000 years. According to textual research, outer materials are mostly transported to the city through this gate. During the period of the first dynasty of Koguryo, it was a very significant military key.
