Details

This nearly 20-meter-high stone pillar on the edge of the cliff is the "Gatekeeper General", which looks like a hero with his head held high. Legend has it that in 3 AD, the Koguryo Dynasty moved its capital from Wunvshan to the Domestic City (now Ji 'an City), and Fuli, the son of Meng Zhu's close minister Wuyi, was ordered to stay in the old capital. He devoted himself to his duties, carefully watched the movement at the foot of the mountain and always defended Wunvshan City. Day and night work and hard labour exhausted Fuli. After his heroic death, he still kept his standing posture and turned into this huge stone pillar to continue guarding Wunvshan City for more than 2,000 years. It can really be described as "wearing armor and guarding the heavenly gate, awe-inspiring and inviolable". Loyal man lives forever.
